Criminal justice and criminology careers are varied; there are many choices once you have completed your degree. Some criminal justice jobs are hands-on, dealing with crisis every day; others are behind-the-scenes and investigative in nature.

One course taken by students in the online Westwood’s College Criminal Justice Program is Gangs. In this course students are presented with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective on gangs in America today. Topics such as the events, organizations and processes that surrounded the gang panic of the 1980s and early 1990s, and the nature and extent of the current gang problem are covered.
