The history of The Art Institute Online begins with The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, which was founded in 1921, more than 85 years ago. The Art Institute Online was launched in the year 2000 as a division of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and offers 14 creative-focused academic programs.
At graduation you will receive a degree or diploma awarded from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. You will be invited to attend your graduation ceremony in Pennsylvania where you can walk with your cap and gown.
