Silicon Valley College (SVC) was founded in Fremont, California, in 1989 to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start a successful career in health care, drafting, or graphics studies. A second campus, located in Walnut Creek, California, was opened in 1979. A third campus opened in San Jose, California, in January 1979, and a fourth campus was opened in Emeryville, California, in August 2001. In June 2002, SVC was purchased by U.S. Education Corporation (http://www.useducationcorp.com), a nationwide company established to acquire and manage similar institutions.

Employment assistance is available to all Silicon Valley College graduates without charge.
