Missouri College was founded in 1963 to help fill the need for trained professionals in dental and medical offices in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Over the years, Missouri College’s programs have evolved to keep pace with the demands of the marketplace and the needs of employers. In addition to the dental and medical programs offered, Missouri College have added programs in Business, Information Technology, and Massage Therapy. Plus, in 2003, Missouri College were pleased to present their new Visual Communications program.

All of Missouri College’s classes are taught by working professionals that provide the insight and real world experience students will need to compete in the marketplace today. At Missouri College, they limit class size in order to provide the personal attention their students deserve. Missouri College believe this enriches student’s educational experience and helps them get the most of their Missouri College education.

MEDICAL MASSAGE SCIENCE
In Missouri college’s Medical Massage Science program, students can acquire the expertise they need to become a multi-skilled individual whose talents range from working directly in medical patient care to working as a professional massage therapist in private practice or in the office of a medical facility.

Graduates can demonstrate skills in:

  • Basic massage therapy techniques
  • Treating soft tissue and connective tissue
  • Willingness to provide quality health care as a part of a health care team

Graduates of this program at Missouri College should be able to obtain entry level positions in a medical office, clinic, hospital, pharmaceutical company, medical lab, insurance company, massage clinic, hospital, chiropractic office, nursing home, health club, spa, resort or private practice.

MASSAGE THERAPY
The Massage Therapy program at Missouri College is designed to provide students with the knowledge they need to become part of one of the fastest growing professions in the health care field. Students will analyze the growing acceptance of massage as a holistic approach to health care and health maintenance, as well as examine the professional medical ethics of this field.

The curriculum includes:

  • Swedish massage therapy techniques
  • Demonstrating how to increase circulation to the body
  • Massage therapy as a means of reducing stress

Graduates of the Massage Therapy program at Missouri College should be able to take advantage of opportunities for Massage Therapists in hospitals, chiropractic offices, rehab centers, fitness centers, health spas and private practices.
