Thompson Institute was founded in 1918 as Beckley College, a business school offering vocational training to students in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Although the name and ownership of the school has changed over the years, their focus on quality education remains strong. In October 1982, Thompson Institute opened a branch campus in Philadelphia, offering many of the same programs as the Harrisburg campus.
