The Massage Therapy College of Baton Rouge’s goal is to help student succeed in academic, business, social, professional and personal endeavors. At the Massage Therapy College, equipment is state of the art for all programs and includes: massage tables and chairs, hydrocollators, body support systems, skeletons, charts, massage tools, white boards, TV/VCRs, training videos and overhead projectors.
The Massage Therapy Diploma program begins with a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology and patho-physiology, and expands to include training in specific massage techniques. Students will learn Swedish massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, basic Shiatsu, and practice their techniques in a supervised clinical environment.
